Newbie to 3D printing. As reviewed online, easy assembly, nice workmanship. Very pleased, using Cura slicer, hoping for more development on support function.

Initially, I had a rough start with this printer. I took my time and assembled it properly. Bed leveling took a little time, but I got it dialed in and started sending test prints for further tweaking. The printer began rebooting and freezing mid print. Since I am a 3d printing newb, I notified Creality about the issue. While I waiting on a reply, I determined that the included flash drive was failing. The gcode data would literally stop mid print because the card was failing reads. I replaced the card and all is well now. Creality was fast to respond as well.
It's been a few weeks and I am hooked now. My family is hooked. Co workers too. The quality I am getting from my prints is amazing and it is a lot of fun. 3D printing is no longer just a curiosity for me. This will probably be a life long hobby now thanks to my Ender 5. I highly recommend this printer.

To the simplicity of assembly it was quite easy. Took me all of 3 hours to put together. Was a fun little project to try and figure out how to import the printer into Cura. I have bought several rolls of filament for this printer because I find it to be amazing at the worksmanship that it can produce. I have been having fun for the past few months working on all different sizes and details of 3d prints. I would highly suggest buying this printer if you have the money and the time to experiment with different settings. I feel like a true maker with this little guy in my house.

We have been running this printer almost everyday since buying it. That's about 20 days. Many of the printed items took 4 hours to 14 hours due to the size. It had shown outstanding performance. We decided to go with this larger printer and we are glad we did. The density of the item can be adjusted from almost hollow to completely filled. It does take a while to put it together. I advise to do as we did. Use a table that is stable and very level. Level the table if necessary. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! Lightly tighten the screws for the frame until all the screws are in. Then snug them up a little Continuously check the level. Once the printer is fully built and it is level, THEN fully tighten all the screws and retighten all of the other screws. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone.

The printer was pretty easy to assemble. I am thrilled with its print quality out of the box.

This is a very solid, well-built printer, and I am very happy with my purchase! It took a little bit to figure out that for some reason the SD Card port on my unit is upside-down. I??m not sure if this is normal but it??s not a big deal now that I??ve figure out how to get it read the SD card. Unfortunately the card that came with the printer became corrupted after a few prints, but they??re cheap these days so it wasn??t an issue to get another one. Other than that, I only had an issue when I replaced the brass nozzle with a stainless steel one I bought off Amazon. As soon as I tried printing with the new nozzle I couldn??t get any filament to come out and discovered it was all leaking into the hot end and around the threads of the nozzle even though the Bowden tube was pushed in all the way. I cleaned out the hot end and replaced the nozzle back to the original and have been able to make amazing quality prints again! I highly recommend this product but am a little leery to put any aftermarket parts on it without making sure they??re compatible first. The seller was also very helpful in addressing all my concerns with the printer and getting it working in spite of these minor issues. I would gladly do business with this seller again!

Upon receiving the printer, the assembly was rather quick, since everything was mostly pre-assembled. I did have an issue with the lower Z axis frame attachment, the screw hole was stripped and I have to use another, longer one with a nut on the back side. But print quality out of the box is good. Using the provided micro sd card, my PC thinks it is a virus, so it deleted the files. Luckily after contacting Creality through FB I received a Dropbox location to download the files again.
The print quality using Cura, the provided software did not yield good results. I tried many different this and everything was a disaster. I decided to use an old RPi I had to set up OctoPi and connect to it. After completing this, the prints were instantly improved. I am not sure if the issue resided in the micro SD that I was using or if it was the numerous settings within Cura, but the RPi uses an older Cura engine to slice the model.
Either way it has been a learning experience. I have wasted several spools of filament trying to get thing going, but again I take it as a learning experience.
Bottom line: this printer can produce great quality models, but it will not do it right as you turn it on. Some tweaking is required, but that is what makes it YOUR printer. Would I buy it again? Yes I would.
